Nascut in data de 29 Aprilie 1940 in comuna Goicea (sat Popoviceni), judetul Dolj, Romania

1. Studii

  • Cursurile Scolii primare si ale Ciclului II din comuna Goicea, judetul Dolj.

  • Colegiul national "Fratii Buzesti" din Craiova (1954-1957).

  • Inginer (1963), Facultatea de Mecanica (secţia Constructii de Aviatie), Universitatea "Politehnica" din Bucuresti.

  • Doctor inginer (1969), specialitatea Aerodinamica, cu Teza de doctorat: "Contributii la teoria aripilor in regim supersonic cu separatia curentului la bordurile de atac" (conducator stiintific Acad. Prof. Elie Carafoli), Institutul de Mecanica fluidelor "Traian Vuia" al Academiei Romane

2. Experienta profesionala

  • 1963-1965: preparator la Catedra de Aviatie, Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti
